11, August 2015: London-based jewellery designer Karlin Anderson
has been breaking new ground over the past months, having joined
several designer communities whose membership reflects a passion for the
unique and alternative, making Karlin a coveted addition. The latest
group Karlin has joined is NOT JUST A LABEL, a leading designer platform
whose mission is to discover and support pioneers in contemporary
fashion. Selling products ranging from footwear to clothing to
jewellery, NOT JUST A LABEL’s designers stand apart for their ethical
awareness, individual style and/or unusual and individual designs.
Since this month, Karlin is officially one of the platform’s ‘Black Sheep’, NJAL’s self-proclaimed name for their member designers “revolutionising the industry and forging their own path”. Karlin Anderson was elected for this title with an eye on her Wing Collection that features on her brand new NJAL profile. It symbolises freedom, strength and courage, values that lie close to the designer’s heart, which is evident from the fact that she designed even her own engagement ring using the motif of the eagle’s wings. The feather patterns of Karlin’s Wing Collection are hand carved over the rings, earrings and necklaces with a precision that’s a testimony to her excellent, traditional jewellery crafting skills.
By promoting her collection via NOT JUST A LABEL, Karlin Anderson complements marketing efforts that she undertook earlier this year by joining the F&L Designer Guides for Engagement Rings, a designer community that focuses on bespoke jewellery, specifically engagement rings. Bespoke commissions define the skills of the jewellery designer nd over the years Karlin has proven to be able to take on any story and turn it into a masterpiece of metal and gemstones. Her creativity combined with her jewellery crafting skills of the highest standard are renowned across the jewellery world – she’s worked for top jewellers in Glasgow and London - and praised by her clients, who include Kate Moss and Claudia Schiffer.
