San Jose, Costa Rica; 19, December 2015:
Over the past months, Patriots’QB Tom Brady has been questioned about
his feelings for Republican candidate Donald Trump and asked a few times
which way he would vote in the coming election. Although, Brady has
skillfully said nothing to all the questions -- much like he did about
Deflategate, but if some reporter somewhere -- or anyone for that matter
-- can get Brady to answer that tough Trump question definitively; then
he or she can get $10,000 courtesy of Mybookie.ag.
“At MyBookie we believe that news like this should be handsomely remunerated, and that’s why we are willing to pay anyone who can get a quote from Brady a juicy $10,000 reward for a scoop of this magnitude” says Mybookie.ag representative Phil Hernandez.
Trump has recently stirred controversy by making scandalous declarations and controversial proposals such as banning Muslims from entering the U.S. This has caused many high-profile athletes to respond to Trump’s comments. NBA star Charles Barkley and Boxing Hall of Famer Muhammad Ali, among many other, have expressed their opinions regarding Trump, but while many more continue to speak their minds, Brady hasn't answered questions on whether he would support the infamous republican candidate.
“I support all my friends in everything they do. I think it’s pretty remarkable what he’s achieved in his life. You’re going from business, kind of an incredible business man and then a TV star, and then getting into politics.” Brady said, while not going as far as admitting if he endorses Trump.
While the four time Super Bowl champ still reluctant to reveal his political affiliation, Trump continues to use his relationship to Brady for personal gain, crediting his friendship in more than one occasion.
“I try to have fun with certain things,” Brady said. “But some things a lot of times they get taken out of context. So I think you are just more careful with what you say because you don’t want a big headline with you saying something that’s going to take the attention away from your teammates or what you’re trying to do.”
Having that in mind, Mybookie.ag is throwing down the gauntlet to journalists, supporters and fans all over the U.S as it is offering $10,000 cold-hard cash if any reporter can get Brady to answer any questions regarding whether he will vote for his good friend in November 2016.
All we know at this point is that Brady doesn't want to be a part of the story, although, we’d like to find out how the NFL star would answer to that question, so the money is guaranteed to the first reporter who gets a straight answer from Brady. The first person to get an official declaration can either collect the cash or use it to make a donation to their favorite charity.
